Study for project mandate definition
The preliminary study to define the parameters of the project allows our clients to know in detail every step that will be taken during the realization of a project.
At Litho Service, we pride ourselves on getting the job done on time and within allotted budget. With our preemptive study, we document and analyze all press, converting, packaging, and web processing components, the line’s architecture from electrical to plumbing, as well as the site structure itself.
Following this documentation, we devise the best plan of action for the execution of the project itself. Taking everything into account, work stoppage, logistics, manpower, equipment, specific builds necessary for the project, etc, we then devise a detailed step by step action plan.
With Litho Service nothing is left up to chance. Our clients receive detailed documentation of their equipment’s components and architecture, detailed logistic schedules, detailed time frames, and for projects where delays are not an option, we design contingency plans for each mission critical step.
Our clients deserve the type of professional engineering that their investment merits. When the stakes are high, nothing but the best will do. We do the job right, from A to Z, the first time, so that there are no surprises, no delays, no equipment issues, no logistic issues, and no excuses.
For more details about how this is accomplished, please consult the Methodology section.
Obsolescence Study
The Litho Service Advantage: Professional Impartiality.
Since Litho Service is not affiliated with any brand of printing press or any make of converting or web handling equipment, we have the advantage of being neutral and impartial when it comes to analysing your equipment for obsolescence.
Additionally, since we are printing press and web converting and packaging experts, we have the knowledge to evaluate all your components adequately, no matter what configuration of makes and brands you use on-site.
Because of our impartiality, Litho Service has the advantage of being able to suggest the best parts and component to resolve our clients’ problems, independent of brand. This way, our clients benefit from countless options instead of having to settle for one make or brand, as is the case with so called ‘specialized firms’.
If we do find obsolete parts or components, we can suggest a combination of replacement makes and models from various sources (new, used, refurbished, etc), saving our clients time and money, while delivering the best possible performance on the market, with the highest return on investment.
Having obsolete parts and components in a printing press, converting and packaging, or any other web handling architecture is very risky. Obsolete parts might be working, but when they stop working, replacing them becomes a logistics nightmare. Since obsolete parts are no longer supported by their manufacturer, when they fail, those in the printing, packaging or converting, and web handling industries are caught in a quandary of fast tracked reverse engineering, a worldwide search for a similar used component, or even a partial redesign of their most important printing or converting equipment.
Replacing obsolete parts:
- Prevents major issues from occurring
- Increases your output
- Increases your quality
- Comes with detailed documentation on your parts and component status
- Allows you to stay ahead of the technology curve
- Assures peace of mind
Don’t wait until it’s too late, a minor investment now will prevent a major catastrophe later.
